For many centuries Baleal was a small island that was used as a por of harbour at the north entrance of the ancient Baía-Port of Atouguia for the navigation of this port in the XV, XVI centuries.
Inserted in the Peniche region, Baleal offers exceptional conditions with its extensive beaches of fine white sand. Here you can do many activities and nautical sports, like surfing, kite surfing, windsurfing, body board, caoeing, sailing, diving and fishing.
